Bury Council has endorsed the benefits of its Bury Directory – a full-service solution bringing together adult and childrens’ social care information in one, accessible website.
The Council’s rollout of Open Objects’ Family Information Service (FIS) solution has delivered a number of savings, including a reduced reliance on council services and increased community wellbeing, with citizens better able to self-serve and gain quicker access to information.
Former Head of Social Development at Bury Council, Heather Crozier, commented to camera: “Open Objects were prepared to work with us around what we needed and flex and develop and actually try new things.
“It’s meant that people can access information at the right time, in the right way, and it’s fully optimised for use on mobile phones and tablets. More importantly, it supports the information standard – making sure there’s equity of access for people – regardless of whether they’ve got a disability, or their first language isn’t English.”
The video release comes as Open Objects unveils its new website, showcasing a comprehensive portfolio of specialist solutions and services for the health and social care sector. With dedicated resources and insightful articles on key industry themes, the website provides a platform for users to browse the suite of solutions from Education, Health and Care plans and directories, to SEND Local Offers and Early Years provision.
