Database Integration

Autonomy Ultraseek makes the wealth of information contained within relational databases available through highly relevant, natural language search. Even novice users can access entire records, individual columns, tables or views without first having to learn complex query languages.

Database indexing is extremely easy to install, configure and manage on an ongoing basis, and can be implemented in a matter of minutes through an easy-to-use web-based GUI.

Autonomy Ultraseek integrates with any ODBC or JDBC compliant database on Windows and offers enhanced integration with the following databases on Solaris:

Direct Indexing

Indexing of database content, including binary large objects (BLOBs), occurs quickly and intelligently, ensuring that search results are always pulled from the most current content. Initial direct indexing is compiled at more than 50,000 records per hour, with subsequent revisits at up to one million records per hour. Autonomy Ultraseek intelligently learns how frequently content changes and automatically schedules indexing accordingly, minimizing bandwidth usage and delivering more relevant results. Since the index of database content is precompiled and search results are returned immediately, users don't have to wait for lengthy database query processes to run.

Security Integration

With the increasing volume of sensitive information contained on corporate networks, managing consistent user access privileges is essential to security. For any security policy to be truly effective, search must be integrated to ensure users can only retrieve content consistent with their access privileges. Autonomy Ultraseek ensures that users can search, retrieve and view only the documents they are permitted to see.
